Is it Melow or Meloncholy

Posted by: donnahamer on: October 13, 2009

 The cold months are upon us once again and it seems that time has not slowed down at all.

From Santiago de Compostela. One of the very first Gregorian Chants I ever watched when I signed up for an account on the amazing YouTube.

gregarian chant music is wonderful. Enjoy the scenery and the music as much as I do!!

been awhile on the YouTube..it’s still as great a place to hang out if you love music as any place. Don’t ask me where these ideas for the post names come from. I’m apt to tell ya something really weird as it is way too early in the am, or late in the pm…..happy journey and have a terrific rest of the week anyways. Time is going by way to fast….

Summer 2009 wasn’t as fun as 2008 was

Posted by: donnahamer on: August 29, 2009

Except the NakuspMusicFest, seeing Trooper and getting big hugs from the band crew. Visiting my Auntie Mary, and Wading in Arrow Lake. I really missed the opportunity to be with my kids in Victoria this year. Oh well, Christmas is just around the bend in time. Oh yeah, I forgot…taking amazing photos (230 to be exact) I posted some on my spaces site

http://donnamarieh.spaces.live.com  you must sign into your own spaces to view mine and click on photos….. I posted 91 in the album   Enjoy

One more point that made the summer of 2008 more fun was the marriage of my son and his pretty wife….. They celebrated a year. One down, and a hundred and fifty to go.

You Know What I Want

Posted by: donnahamer on: May 11, 2009

You Know What I Want?

to be in the arms of a loving man again, to be accepted for who I am, to not be judged because I fall short of what others expect of me.

You know what I can do? everything within reason to have a terrific life. To accomplish great things because I possess inside myself every ability to do just that.

I am able to love unconditionally because I have had such a love. I want this again. Well, you know, not exactly the same love, because there are no two people in this glorious world exactly the same.

I have been using every excuse for quite awhile now, to not go for this love.  I have no idea why?  Other than maybe I am not ready or not used up my last phenomenal memory of my last true love, lost and never to return.

Death has a way of finalizing things. However, it leaves an emptiness inside every soul that aches to move on, and yet it really is temporarily immobilizing.  We Grieve! Does it really make the emptiness go away?  I say NOT!  When we lose someone important to us, we more than miss them forever.

The tears we spill from the sadness we feel, is like a hunger!always present, when there isn’t any food left.  We want to be nurished by the love we once had. Some close themselves off emotionally. I am one of those.  I never thought about it until right now. I guess this is the reason I have been so picky about chosing another friend/partner/soulmate!! I find it safer to be around men who are unavailable to me because they are already taken.

This leaves me alone, but not unhappy  Getting older, maybe not as pretty? Don’t know? Soon I will be okay to reach out to be in the arms of a loving man again.

Amazing site.. The old masters have inspired a lot of creativity in this artist.

I will always be thankful to my cousin Sandy from Oxford England for giving me a little book on design when I was just 8. Thank you again Sandy.

A little bit of heaven to remember

Posted by: donnahamer on: May 1, 2009

The heavens through the weeping willows

The heavens through the weeping willows

Bless my son and his beautiful wife for having me stay for a couple of weeks in their marvelous home. I am grateful that I am so loved by all of J’s family. Thank you for helping me through a tough time when Dad died.

I am so proud of both of you for your discipline. Soon you will have a new home and all the great things a young couple accomplish. Love you always and hugs and kisses to my boy as well.

The little bit of Heaven through the Weeping Willows was taken at 6:30 am from your patio. I could not believe my eyes and I just grabbed my cellphone and took the picture.

I love you both my darlings…Thank you

Till we see each other again, hopefully this summer.

DJ Tiesto and his Power Mix

Posted by: donnahamer on: April 30, 2009

Happiness is: “knowing that everything will come together with a little bit of faith and Standing firm in what you believe in.”

It used to bother me when I offended someone, but I did not know how come I offended them. Now I ask what the heck, what is it that I have done, so I am able to figure out how I can make things right.. I think that has something to do with maturity…hahahahahaha like all of us are so grown up!! I think that phrase will never quite fit me, nor do I expect it should fit my kids. Any of them. Being childlike is one of life’s greatest gifts you can give yourself. NEVER GROW UP..ask Peter Pan? Most of the time it has absolutely nothing to do with me and everything to do with someone having a no-good, very-bad-day….. Ya think! My neighbours have a thing to say about that I betcha!! Enjoy the canned noise as much as I do..no dig intended to my sis; just good humor I happen to enjoy the Dance/Trance The rythm, the feeling and the vocals or lack of ,when I play my itunes, or my wma so loud that it shakes the parking garage, from my apartment.. DJ Tiesto and the Power Mix has to be the greatest sound. Enjoy all of Tiesto’s vids, I sure do..

Sorry my neighbours, I so know how much you love the Gregorian Chants I listen to as well.

dh goodbye to February, 2009

and goodbye to April 2009 while I am at it..

                Forgiveness
I was 25 last time my hair was this short
I was 25 last time my hair was this short

There is a place of quiet rest,
Living deep within the soul;
Filled with mercy, grace and love,
Designed to make you whole.
A place of sweet contentment,
So far from shattered dreams;
The secret of forgiveness,
A healing, flowing stream.

The waters flowing from the stream,
Are touched by God’s own hand;
For by His grace, forgiveness flows,
To the heart of mortal man.
Then deep within forgiveness,
Seeds of tender mercy sown;
Are watered by the hand of God,
And as they bloom and grow…

They blossom forth in beauty,
Just like a rose so rare;
Rising up from deep within,
Their fragrance fills the air.
The sweetness of forgiveness,
Of mercy, grace and love;
A healing stream poured into your soul,
From the Father’s hand above
.

There is a quiet area in my heart that is very sad now.  I am smiling as I usually am, however, there is still a sadness for me to lose Dad. I am so used to getting on the phone at the end of every day just to see how he was doing and to have a great laugh with him. He was called ”smiling Ken”  for a good reason by all of his friends at the Pioneer Lodge, where he lived since 2004. Well he lived in the private apartments Aurora Court from 2004 till 2006 when he had a bad fall and broke his hip. Most ol people over the age of 70 usually pass away from this kind of trauma. My Dad had an incredible will to live. I found out that both of my parents passed away from the exact same cancer~Multiple Myloma~Bone Marow Cancer.  Mom suffered in pain for a full 2 years before it took her life in 2000.Dad had an entourage of friends..they loved him dearly..and today are still missing him as much as his daughters and his son do. His Grandchildren and Greatgrandchildren miss him. The poem of Forgiveness is very fitting as we all have pain from issues that someday we will resolve, with love and understanding and hope. Whether we believe as spiritual beings or just as we are. We understand one thing, we are human! We hurt. (okay 2 things)The quiet area in my heart will always remain my sadness for my Dad, because I loved him like a daughter will always love her Daddy. I will smile now and keep my calm and be understanding because I have been through a lot in my 52 years. We all have things that make us proud and we also have things in our lives we need forgiveness for. My little sister Karen brought something to my attention..Is it better to ask permisson or ask forgiveness… Good point.  I vote permission.I value the people in my life. I treasure my close friends..and the friends that I have had since I was 7 years old. I suppose I am blessed!! Abundantly..
